Question

“What Happens When a Homeowner Calls Us About a Job”

Answer from the ACR crew

Summary:

Cesar describes a process that starts with an in-person look rather than a phone quote. When a homeowner calls, he wants to come out, see the space, and understand what they actually need before offering anything, because the condition of the ground is something no one can assess over the phone. Once he's there, he walks the area with them, listens to what they're picturing, and identifies the underlying issue if there's an existing problem to solve rather than simply covering it. From there he lays out the options, explaining what can be done, how ACR would approach it, and what the alternatives are. He treats the visit as a conversation rather than a sales pitch, and evaluates the property the same way he would evaluate work on his own home.

Answer:

When somebody calls us, the first thing is we go take a look. I don't like to give an answer over the phone before I see it, because every job is different and you can't see the ground through a phone. So we come out, we take a look, and we describe what they need. We listen to what they're looking for. Sometimes there's a problem already there, some old concrete, something cracked or sinking, and we look at what's causing it so we can try to solve it, not just cover it. Then we can offer the service. We say, okay, we can help you with this. We can do it this way, or we can do it another way, and here's the difference between them. When I'm out there, I try to see it like it's my house. That's how I look at every property. What would I want if this was mine? Then we go from there and we put together a number for them.
